Procrastination Station

I'm supposed to be writing a grant proposal outline (or something) so of course I thought I'd add a post to this highly neglected blog...

I have been working at the American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) since January as an intern and thusly have not had the time to post anything about my oh-so-exciting life. Because AIER is up in Great Barrington, MA, I've been spending most of my week sleeping in VT and going through Internet withdrawal. That is part of the reason that Hot Chicas has not been updated--neither the site nor the blog. But I have finished with my work at AIER (I was an intern for Jan and Feb and went back to fill in as a paid employee for the last two weeks) and am back in Bestchestah until I find a place to live! Woot woot!

But the best part of being home? I have a job! I have a real, proper, adult-style job! I'll be working as an Information Analyst at John S Herold. According to their website, they are an "independent research firm that specializes in the analysis of companies, transactions, and trends in the global energy industry". It seems like a very cool place to work and everyone I met seemed like my kind of people so I'm hoping that it all works out. Obv I won't be blogging about my workplace, but I'm assuming with more money will come more adventures so don't you worry my little chicks, you'll still have blogs to read!

And finally, I hope to post a picture my brand spankin' new Celtic Tote when I finish it. It's my first attempt at cables, but I think it looks pretty darned good. I just have to find the time to sew up the last two sides and felt it (and let it dry) before I can take a picture and show it off. All I need now is a house full of cats...
